After writing for ESPN for six years, I did a two-year stint with Rolling Stone. The magazine, best known as the standard-bearer of music journalism, also has a long history of covering politics and pop culture, and for a time sports was part of their pop culture coverage.
Luckily, RS was interested in expanding its baseball coverage right about the time that the Chicago Cubs were gunning for the World Series. So, in 2016 and 2017, I covered baseball, along with a little bit of music and other pop culture. Following that, I did some Olympics coverage at the beginning of 2018.
