Sports is big business. After my stints at Rolling Stone and ESPN were over, I stumbled upon the opportunity to write for Forbes as part of its SportsBusiness vertical. At first, I wasn’t sure what I would write about. But shortly after I got going, I discovered I could cover sports of all kinds and interview the biggest stars from every sport.

Soon after came interviews with the likes of Shaq, Billie Jean King, Megan Rapinoe, Lindsey Vonn, Rory McIlroy, Trinity Rodman, and Tony Hawk, among others. I also reported on sports hospitality, sports branding, media, and did a few stories on sports tech.

I met sports legends like Greg Norman, Annika Sörenstam, and many others; I also traveled across the United States, Bermuda, and the Bahamas to cover sailing, motorsports, and college sports, and even sat at a press conference 10 feet from Tiger Woods.
